Community Services

One of our intentions is to collaborate, plan and make actionable Mental Health and Care plans. We believe that fundamental to this work is relationships, and in mental health we have a shared guide and agreement to be clear with our healing intentions.

As such, all stakeholders in one’s care, whether it is individualized care or more complex capacity care with different health providers and agencies involved in community care, creating shared care plans make clear everyone’s roles, responsibilities, and protocol responsibilities.  Therefore, local, community, nation, or other local protocols are included as guidelines and/or agreements as required so that everyone is in agreement moving forward.

One critical factor that we help is by collaborating to do our best that the care plan gives importance to what the individual or community states are their needs and their mental health goals. Sitting together to create this is what builds bonds between everyone and is in itself a therapy and healing step towards individual and community healing.

For us, only a cross sectoral approach, including the holistic and collective wisdom of everyone involved, can mental health and care plans be created from lived knowledge and professional expertise and backgrounds. Our team comes from a variety of clinical and managerial backgrounds in mental health, children and family services, psychological assessments, traditional healing, and modern psychotherapy,

What is most important in our approach is that we make sure everyone stays involved and has a copy of the mental health and care plan agreements. So often as you know, there are inconsistencies in care due to different offices, departments and others having different source documents and data. As a result, sometimes final assessments are created from two different sources of information entirely. We make sure that does not happen.

Trauma Informed Care, Practice & Training

We invite you to organize with us any one of the following trauma informed trainings.

1 - Day Workshop

This workshop is meant to provide a solid grounding and a step into advanced clinical skills for trauma informed planning and all support work.

It is designed for mental health professionals who work alongside those who provide psychotherapy or who provide the support and supervision of those impacted by trauma.

The intention of this program is to

  • Give an Introduction to trauma-based approaches
  • Practice how to support clients who exhibit ongoing behaviors or symptoms
  • Share what a trauma-informed treatment plan should include
  • Confirm why your mental health is so important in a trauma-informed treatment environment

Multi - Day or Ongoing Training, Coaching & Workshops

These workshops include clinical skills and support worker training. This training is experiential and involves lectures and in-class practice of our learnings.

These workshops are best for those working in the field and who are ready to face personal issue challenges as they come up while working with others and within themselves.  There will be time to practice trauma-focused interventions, practices, and therapy with one another.

These workshops do have flexibility to include training if the focus is on children, teens, or adults.

The intention of this program is to:

  • Understand how trauma impacts show up in “problem” behaviours and symptoms
  • Teach strategies to help people work through trauma symptoms, or not, when appropriate
  • Create a treatment approach that everyone can work together to implement
  • Apply the principles of self care to themselves

Wellness

  • Nutrition Counselling
  • Lab Testing
  • Food Allergy & Sensitivity Testing
  • Digestive Health
  • Disease Management
  • Pre – and Post – Natal Nutrition
  • Weight Management

Nutritional Counselling

As diet and nutrition are significant actors and our partners when we maintain health and vitality during our lives and when recovering from illness or injury, we suggest several approaches:

Counselling

As much of our health is about how our mind and body relate, we incorporate counselling to focus healing on thoughts, emotions, impactful trauma events, and coping strategies. From here, we can rebalance and heal.

Laboratory Testing

As today’s world can create stress leading to toxin overload, vitamin deficiencies, and overall burnout, we use test results to guide treatment, dietary and supplement recommendations, and individualized health plans.

Get Sober Program

We have partnered with this program as both of our organizations share similar values in helping people heal from alcohol addiction.

We follow a three pronged approach that moves our clients into sobriety.

Cleansing

The first month primarily helps our clients cleanse and detox through our coaching program that builds the foundational habits: spiritual, emotional, physical and mental. Our therapy program is introduced during this time.

Recovery

The second month is the immersion into individual therapy, whereby our clients explore the roots of their impacts and their relationship to alcohol. We re-cover their lives.

Transformation

Starting in Month 3, clients share and heal in relationships with others.

In Month 4, we continue as psychedelic group work using psilocybin. This is the start of one’s full transformation. This is a 5 day retreat that takes place in the Netherlands and Jamaica depending on time of year.
